About RateRadar
RateRadar exists for one reason: freelancers and creators chronically undercharge, and the information they need to fix that is scattered, vague or hidden behind sales pitches.
We bring it together in one place: free calculators that turn the income you want into the rate you should charge, and transparent rate data across 18 roles and 9 regions. No signup, no paywall.
How our rate data is built
Rate bands are directional estimates assembled from public freelance-marketplace data (Upwork, Fiverr, Contra), published industry rate surveys, and public labor statistics. They describe typical mid-market hourly rates for independent freelancers serving small and mid-sized clients. Regional figures apply a relative market multiplier to the United States baseline.

How we stay free
RateRadar is funded by advertising and by affiliate commissions from tools we recommend. This never changes the rate data, and we only list tools worth using on their own merits. See our affiliate disclosure for detail.
